Type specimen: MLP 93-I-3-1, a partial skeleton (disarticulated partial postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is VEG9303, Cape Lamb, which is in a Maastrichtian coastal sandstone in the López de Bertodano Formation of Antarctica.
