Sister taxon: Wonambi naracoortensis
Type specimen: QMF 23038, a set of vertebrae (a single mid-trunk vertebra). Its type locality is Wayne's Wok Site, which is in an Aquitanian/Burdigalian terrestrial limestone in Australia.
