Type specimen: University of Port Elizabeth No. A 8773, a skeleton. Its type locality is Swartkops Brickfield Ophiuroid, which is in a Valanginian foreshore mudstone in the Sundays River Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at Swartkops Brickfield Ophiuroid
