Type specimen: AMNH 96250, a skull. Its type locality is East Fork Basin, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Tepee Trail Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at East Fork Basin
