Sister taxon: Tribosphenomys minutus

Type specimen: PIN 3104-435, a maxilla. Its type locality is Tsagan Hushu [Naran Bulak Fm.] [PMPE], which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Naran Bulak Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of China (1 collection), Mongolia (1)
