Type specimen: UNM NP-336 = NMMNH P-8628, a partial skeleton (partial skeleton with no skull). Its type locality is West Flank of Torrejon Wash (BUNM 77-1130), which is in a Torrejonian fluvial sandstone in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore
