Type specimen: SMNS 41482, a mandible (sin. with c, p2(?), p3-m1). Its type locality is Langenau 1, which is in a Burdigalian paralic marl/mudstone in the Brackwater Molasse Formation of Germany.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
