Type specimen: NYSM I 8761 (9099E/4, serial no. 7402230), a shell. Its type locality is Pine Hill section, near Highland Mills, which is in a Pragian carbonate sandstone in the Oriskany Formation of New York.

Ecology: stationary semi-infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Pine Hill section, near Highland Mills
