Philydrosaurus proseilus
Taxonomy
Philydrosaurus proseilus was named by Gao and Fox (2005). Its type specimen is PKUP V2001, a partial skeleton (nearly complete skull and lower jaws in association with partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shangheshou, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China. It is the type species of Philydrosaurus.
