It was reranked as Mangelia (Mitromorpha) by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was misspelled as Mitramorpha by DuBar (1958), Sepkoski (2002), Bouchet et al. (2011), Schnetler et al. (2024).

It was assigned to Mitridae by Woodring (1928); to Mangelia by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); to Turrinae by DuBar (1958); to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mitromorphidae by Bouchet et al. (2011), Schnetler et al. (2024).
