Natica (Pliconacca) trisulcata was named by Martin (1914) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Eocene; Indonesia.]. It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Natica (Pliconacca).

It was recombined as Pliconacca trisulcata by Majima (1989).
