Naticarius (Naticarius) niasensis was named by Wissema (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene; central Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Naticarius niasensis by MacNeil (1960); it was recombined as Aloconatica niasensis by Majima (1989).
