Exogyra (Aetostreon) miotaurinensis was named by Sacco (1897) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Early Miocene; Somalia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Exogyra miotaurinensis by Azzaroli (1958).
