Taxonomy
Glaphyrites aktubensis was named by Ruzhentsev (1950). Its type specimen is PIN 319/788, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aidaralash Creek, outcrop 8, which is in a Gzhelian marine limestone in Kazakhstan.
