Taxonomy
Acanthoscaphites albertensis was named by Warren (1930) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Western Interior.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Rhaeboceras albertensis by Russell and Landes (1937); it was recombined as Rhaeboceras albertense by Riccardi (1983).
