Pachydiscus subrobustus was named by Seunes (1892) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) subrobustus by Kennedy (1993), Kennedy and Bilotte (1995).
