Flindersites baccatus was named by Whitehouse (1926) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cretaceous; eastern Australia.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wellshot [Tambo Series], which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in Australia.
It was recombined as Myloceras (Flindersites) baccatum by Klein et al. (2007).
