Taxonomy
Eupleuroceras was named by Miller and Cline (1934) [Sepkoski's age data: C Step-u]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Eupleuroceratidae.

It was assigned to Goniatitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Neoicoceratidae by Korn (2006); and to Eupleuroceratidae by Korn (2006), Furnish et al. (2009).
