Pliogyps fisheri

Taxonomy
Pliogyps fisheri was named by Tordoff (1959). Its type specimen is U.M.M.P. no. 38319, a limb element (right tarsometatarsus lacking trochlea for digit IV), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rexroad KU Locality 3, which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas. It is the type species of Pliogyps.
