Eusauropleura digitata
Taxonomy
Sauropleura digitata was named by Cope (1868). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMNH 6865, a partial skeleton (Trunk region, forelimbs, pelvic girdle and rear limbs, proximal end of tail). Its type locality is Linton, which is in a Westphalian D mire/swamp coal in Ohio. It is the type species of Sauropleura.
It was recombined as Eusauropleura digitata by Romer (1930), Carroll (1970) and Carroll et al. (1972).
