Howesia browni

Taxonomy
Howesia browni was named by Broom (1905). Its type specimen is SAM 5884, a partial skeleton (incl. palate and partial lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aliwal North Area, Cynognathus B, which is in an Anisian terrestrial horizon in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Howesia.
