Taxonomy
Turritella dibleyi was named by Newton (1918). Its type specimen is BMNH G. 29362, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Margett's Pit, Burham [Chalk Marl], which is in a Cenomanian carbonate chalk in the Chalk Marl Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Turritella (Turritella) dibleyi by Abbass (1962).
