Didymoceratoides binodosum was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1993). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Didymoceras binodosum by Kennedy and Cobban (1997), Kennedy and Summesberger (1999) and Kennedy et al. (2000).
