Taxonomy
Tabulipora ellesmerensis was named by Sakagami (1998). Its type specimen is NSM PA14043 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Joseph Henry, Block LB-1, Ellesmere Island, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in Canada.
