Pseudotissotia pavillieri was named by Pervinquiére (1907). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Choffaticeras pavillieri by Amédro and Hancock (1985) and Meister (1989); it was recombined as Choffaticeras (Choffaticeras) pavillieri by Chancellor et al. (1994) and Barroso-Barcenilla and Goy (2007).
