Taxonomy
Diestoceras sinclairi was named by Flower (1952). Its type specimen is a specimen in the collection of G. Winston Sinclair, a partial shell, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Terrebonne, near Montreal, which is in a Shermanian/Edenian deep subtidal shelf limestone/shale in the Tetreauville Formation of Canada.
