Taxonomy
Corbula (Corbula) hodsoni was named by Clark and Durham (1946). Its type specimen is UCMP 34858, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UC S60, which is in the Eocene of sandstone/conglomerate Colombia.
It was recombined as Varicorbula hodsoni by Woodring (1982).
