Taxonomy
Alatipicapora tetrapedis was named by Kozur et al. (2007). Its type locality is Gavuructugu, sample G11, which is in a Tuvalian marine limestone in the Killik Formation of Türkiye.

It was recombined as Hinedorcus tetrapedis by O'Dogherty et al. (2009).
