Amussium lompocensis
Taxonomy
Pecten (Amusium) lompocensis was named by Arnold (1906). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lompoc, 4 miles south of, which is in a Miocene marine horizon in California.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pecten (Amusium) pleuronectes by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Amusium lompocensis by Moore (1984); it was recombined as Amussium lompocensis by Hall (2002).
