Toretocnemus californicus
Taxonomy
Toretocnemus californicus was named by Merriam (1903). Its type specimen is UCMP M 8100, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 1013, West end of Bear Cove, which is in a Tuvalian carbonate limestone in the Hosselkus Formation of California. It is the type species of Toretocnemus.
