Dimaitherium patnaiki
Taxonomy
Dimaitherium patnaiki was named by Barrow et al. (2010). Its type specimen is CGM 42206, a mandible (partial left mandible with P3 to M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Dimaitherium.
