Taxonomy
Uatchitodon schneideri was named by Mitchell et al. (2010). Its type specimen is NCSM 24753, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NCPALEO1906, Moncure, which is in a Norian floodplain mudstone/siltstone in the Cumnock Formation of North Carolina.
