Taxonomy
Intomodesma balygytshanica was named by Biakov (1991). Its type specimen is SVPGO 5/1068, a valve (Right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Smorodinnyy Creek, Big Kupka River basin, Okhotsk Massif, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Nyabol Formation of the Russian Federation.
