Coralliophaga was named by Blainville (1824) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Trapeziidae by Vokes (1980), Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
