Ischyrotoma sila was named by Loch (2007) [Paratypes: UMC 17086-90. Includes specimens assigned to Ischyrotoma abrupta by Derby et al 1991.]. Its type specimen is UMC 17085, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
