Taxonomy
Mytilus nativus was named by Kurushin (1985). Its type specimen is IGiG 753/771 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chekurovskiy Cape, outcrop 9, layer 8, Lena River, which is in an Aegean marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
