Taxonomy
Orbiculoidea tobaensis was named by Jin and Sun (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tuoba, Qamdo County (Tuoba Fm), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Tuoba Formation of China.
