Taxonomy
Stenopora buragoi was named by Kiseleva (1979). Its type specimen is PTGU 187/56 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Elovyy Creek, Upper Reaches, Il'inka River, Yakovlevskii Region, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Ugodinzinskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
