Taxonomy
Buccinum glabratum was named by Linnaeus (1758). It is extant. It is the type species of Eburna.

It was recombined as Ancilla (Eburna) glabrata by Woodring (1964); it was recombined as Eburna glabrata by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
