Ampullina sanctistephani was named by Cossmann and Peyrot (1919). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Globularia gibberosa sanctistephani by Baldi (1973); it was recombined as Globularia sanctistephani by Harzhauser et al. (2009).
