Taxonomy
Lineagruan snowyi was named by Mickle et al. (2009). Its type specimen is ROM 41809, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection), which is in an Arnsbergian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana.
