Taxonomy
Uraloceras nevadense was named by Schiappa et al. (2005). Its type specimen is SUI 58201 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Beck Springs, Buck Mountain, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Arcturus Formation of Nevada.
