Taxonomy
Bourbonnella jocelynae was named by Mickle (2011). Its type specimen is KUVP 150476a,b, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Clay Pits, west of Utah Lake, which is in a Bashkirian marginal marine shale in the Manning Canyon Formation of Utah.
