Pachyvaranus crassispondylus

Taxonomy
Pachyvaranus crassispondylus was named by Arambourg (1952). Its type specimen is MNHN PMC 1, a set of vertebrae (Mid-dorsal vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Youssoufia railway trench, which is in a Maastrichtian marine phosphorite in Morocco. It is the type species of Pachyvaranus.
