Taxonomy
Hoploparia kamimurai was named by Kato and Karasawa (2006). Its type specimen is NDC P-0002, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Roadcut near Route 299, Sebayashi, which is in a Barremian coastal mudstone in the Ishido Formation of Japan.
