Taxonomy
Parafusulina shimotsukensis was named by Kobayashi (2006). Its type specimen is D2-007817, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Karasawa samples Ka-36, Ka-49, Ka-70, Ka-72, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Nabeyama Formation of Japan.
