Taxonomy
Triticites hobblensis was named by Thompson et al. (1950). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S.-C. Wasatch Mtns - loc. U-13, which is in a Pennsylvanian carbonate limestone in the Oquirrh Formation of Utah.
