Taxonomy
Hinedorcus gibber was named by Tekin (1999). Its type specimen is Pl. 32, fig. 5. and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 96-UKT-531, Sugozu Measured Section I, Alakircay Nappe, which is in a Longobardian marine chert/mudstone in the Sapadere Formation of Türkiye.
