Taxonomy
Schwagerina menziesi was named by Williams (1963). Its type specimen is YPM 22557, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section 6, bed 8, Menzies Ranch, Hueco Mountains, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Alacran Mountain Formation of Texas.
