Taxonomy
Plagiostoma lenaensis was named by Kurushin (1998). Its type specimen is TsSGM 2003/52 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ebitiem River, Outcrop 45, lower Lena River, which is in a Fassanian marine siliciclastic in the Agabyt Formation of the Russian Federation.
